Well reportedly that is .. Following “unauthorized access” to its computer network, Santa Clara, Calif.-based technology firm Nvidia is asking employees to change the usernames and passwords of their company accounts. The incident took place during the first week of December and affected an undisclosed number of employee usernames and passwords.

The company believes the breach is limited solely to credentials, according to a privacy notification sent on Dec. 17. Since the California Office of the Attorney General was informed, the number of impacted employees is more than 500. According to the email sent out to the employees, there’s no indication that other data has been compromised. Nvidia’s IT team has taken extensive measures since then to enhance the security of the network against similar attacks in the future.

According to the letter, Nvidia has enhanced the “security capabilities” of its network to prevent a similar incident from occurring in the future.
