On a Chinese forum an ex-Ubisoft employee reports that the new Xbox might have an 8-core AMD CPU, 8GB ram and Windows 8 kernel. This is on par with earlier rumors excapt for a thing or two. Obviously the Xbox would get a Radeon HD 8000 based graphics solution and a 640GB HDD. The AMD processor however sounds supiciously similar to the latest generation APU with Piledriver cores.

8 Core versions of the APU (currently) however do not exsists, hinting towards FX processors. FX could be an option, though we doubt that very much. An A10 APU like product would be the more sane path to follow. A member of the Chinese forum TGFC, also known as BD claims to know the specifications of the console as he was a Ubisoft employee. Opposed to previous rumors what jumps out is the amount of memory, previously that was rumored to be 4GB. Microsoft plans to make a symbiosis with Windows 8. The new Xbox however still has not officially been announced.

We expect that during E3 2013 that might be the case though. Sony as well would release a new console aka Playstation 4 later this year
