Over in Asia the forum ChipHell posted a photo of a reference design GeForce GTX 980, this photo shows the monitor connectors. It looks like everybody will get a nice surprise as the card photo shows no less then five connectors.
It is clear that the future is DisplayPort and as such Nvidia integrated no less then three of them. Then is shows a HDMI connector and a dual-link DVI (comes with analog/VGA pins so you can get compatible with D-Sub / VGA monitors). The rear exhaust shows triangles.
