M.2, SATA-Express or U.2. ... what will be the connector of the future. SATA Express seems to be a huge failure due to the huge connectors. M.2. I do believe has the best offering, and then there is the new U.2. connector which is small and allows for external storage. MSI on their media event website is now also offering a small U.2. daughter board.
The only compatible device on the planet right now is the U.2. based Intel SSD 750, the equivalent to the PCI-Express version we tested here. These puppies can do 2 to 3 GB/sec heck yeah. MSI now offers a small add-in host card board you can use on your emtpy M2 slot then offering a PCI-Express x4 link at 32 Gbps.
