MSI is releasing two new SKUs tagged under their LIGHT (LE) edition of Radeon R9 Gaming 380 and 390. The 380 will come with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, the 390 model will get 8GB.

Both custom PCB and Military component enhanced cards are fitted with the latest revision TwinFrozr V cooler.

MSI Radeon R9 380 GAMING LE 4G:

  • Core frequency 970 MHz
  • Memory frequency 5700 MHz
  • GPU Antigua with 1792 shader processors
  • 4GB GDDR5 configured at memory at 256-bit

The MSI Radeon R9 390 GAMING LE 8G:

  • Core frequency 1010 MHz
  • Memory frequency 6000 MHz
  • GPU Grenada Pro with 2560 shader processors
  • 8GB GDDR5 configured at memory at 512-bit

It is a big vague as to what the LE editions precisely entail, but do notice that the 390 is only rated at a 208 Watt TDP, which is pretty good TBH. prices are TBA we do do expect these more reference clocked units with the MSI style and jacket to be a notch more affordable.

At the thumbnails below I also added a PCB shot of the 380, have a peek as that is just a beatiful design to just look at.
