MSI has released a MSI GTX 660 Gaming edition graphics card. A little weird with the 760 series full in place. However, it is a nicely beefed up card really. As you can imagine this is a refresh product using the Kepler GK106 silicon and following the new MSI Gaming style with a Twin Frozr IV cooler and black and red color theme similar to the 760 model.

MSI actually releases two SKUs of the GTX 660 Gaming Series, one has NVIDIA reference clock speeds of 980 MHz core, 1033 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory; and the OC model will run at 1033 MHz core, 1098 MHz GPU Boost, and an unchanged 6.00 GHz memory. Based on the 28 nm GK106 silicon, the GeForce GTX 660 features 960 CUDA cores, 80 TMUs, 24 ROPs, and a 192-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 2 GB of memory.

  • Boost Clock 1098 MHz
  • Memory Clock 6008 MHz

MSI didn't reveal pricing on the two cards just yet, but a sample did arrive and we'll have a peek at it soon.
