Intel X25-E SSDs to become more expensive

With SLC NAND based flash not pushing through and MLC taking over (unfortunately) prices will go up. Usually the price of computer components drops over time but due to an increase in the price of SLC NAND flash memory Intel will be forced to raise prices of its X25-E solid state disks.

The price hike is pretty big so if you're interested in one of these disks you better get one now before the price goes up. The 32GB model will see a $85 increase while the 64GB version will see its price hiked by $170. Currently these SSDs are selling for around $380 and $720, respectively.
