Intel Devil’s Canyon and Pentium 20th Anniversary Series CPU-Z Specs

Published by

Intel will next week announce their Intel Devil’s Canyon and Pentium 20th Anniversary Series G3258  CPUs (also dubbed Pentium-K). These have been much discussed already and especially Intel Devil’s Canyon will appeal to the masses in the enthusiast range. Some CPU-Z screenshots have appeared on the web conforming the earlier specs.

The screen shots are from engineering samples but the specifications are obviously final. Check it out,the i5-4690K and the i7-4790k. We see the i7-4790K has a stock multiplier of 44  and thus the CPU reaches a Boost clock of 4400 MHz (likely on all four cores). They have an improved heatspreader & thermal insulation material in that CPU package that is going to cool these processors much better once you pump extra volts in them.

The i7-4790K will launch with a clock speed of 4.00 GHz and a Turbo Boost frequency of 4.40 GHz.

The Core i5-4690K launches clock speed of 3.50 GHz, with Turbo Boost frequency of 3.90 GHz. According to new info it is expected that these CPUs would be capable of running at clock speeds of 5.00 GHz, on air-cooling.

The Pentium 20th Anniversary Edition / G3258  processor will feature an unlocked multiplier and be all about nostalgia on a modern CPU socket with tremendous OC potential.

Once we place  things into a table, we get a pretty decent overview of what you can expect in the upcoming weeks.
