iiyama outs their new ProLite XUB2790HS-2.  The 27-Inch display is a Full HD monitor for the masses. It has an AH-IPS WLED-backlight display at a native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The 1000:1 contrast ratio is okay, the 250 cd/m2 brightness however not so much.

The screen is rated having 5ms (GTG) response time and 89/89 degree viewing angles. Consuming only 27W of power in normal mode, the ProLite XUB2790HS-2 comes equipped with built-in stereo speakers (2Wx2) and provides 1x D-Sub, 1x DVI and 1x HDMI input ports. The iiyama ProLite XUB2790HS-2 will start shipping from September 28th for unannounced price yet.
