Google announced two new versions of its smart home speaker yesterday. The Home Mini needs to make the speaker series more accessible, while the Home Max focuses on better overall audio quality.

The Home Mini is a round speaker that, like the larger Home, contains Google's voice assistant. For functionality, the Home Mini is the same as its larger brother.  If you say the voice command "OK Google" it will respond directly to questions and assignments. For example, it can search the internet, play music or call contacts. The Home Mini costs 59 euros, the bigger version of home costs 149 euros.

The Home Max is a longer device with stereo speakers, which, according to Google, provide a much better sound quality than the existing Home. The Home Max can customize its audio settings based on the device's space. This happens automatically, and Google promises that the settings will also be adjusted immediately if the Max is moved or if, for example, a noisy device is on. The Home Max works with several well-known streaming services, including Google's own Play Music and Spotify. The device costs US $ 399 in the US. Recently, Google's voice assistant can recognize different voices so that multiple members of a household can, for example, retrieve their own calendar. It is also possible to use Homes as an intercom; One Home can send a message to all other speakers in a home.
