Following MSI, Gigabyte will be introducing the AORUS M.2 SSD Thermal Guard, basically a heatsink that covers M2 SSD units, to prevent them from heating up and throttling down in performance.
The introduction is a little trivial as some tests already have shown that the methodology does not work that well, sometimes even the opposite. Gigabyte’s AORUS Thermal guard is thick though, and shows airflow. We assume that upcoming AORUS motherboards with this new solution will be released in the Computex timeframe. The M2 Heatsink has been teased on twitter.
