E3 2018: Fallout 76 is online-only

Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard took the stage at Bethesda’s annual E3 press conference and relayed the message that Fallout 76 is going to be an online-only survival RPG, that's right .. online multiplayer only thus Fallout 76 hasn't got a singleplayer mode.

Fallout 76 takes place before all other Fallout games. Set in the hills of West Virginia, it casts you as one of the best and brightest selected to repopulate the Earth. You’re also one of the first to emerge from a vault after the post-apocalyptic dust settles. You’ve spent 25 years underground preparing for what’s called Reclamation Day, when you’ll step out into the world above and begin to rebuild America.

You’ll play on servers, with each only holding a few dozen players at a time. You can join your friends at any time, and all your current progression is taken with you when you do. Very disappointing news. Fallout 76 will be released on November 14th.
