Dll is soon releasing two new monitors, the IPS based S2415H and S2715H (23.8" and 27" models). These are based on AH-IPS panels as well, and feature an ultra-thin bezel design. On the S2415H this measures only 6.05mm according to the spec (including the panel border). While the screens are glossy, they do not feature a glass front like the old S2440L and S2740L which is good news as that made those old models incredibly reflective.
Spec wise the screens offer a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 6ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 16.7m colour depth, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and an sRGB colour gamut from the W-LED backlights. There are VGA, HDMI (with MHL) and audio in/out connections provided. The 27" model also includes 2x USB 2.0 ports and 9W stereo speakers. The 23.8" model doesn't have any USB ports, and has smaller 3W stereo speakers. Both have only a basic tilt adjustment from the stand, but are VESA 100mm compliant for mounting if needed.
The S2415H is listed on their US website and confirms a $259.99 price, while the UK site confirms £243.60. The S2715H is only listed at 2999 Chinese Yuan (£294/$488 USD) at the moment on Dell's China website. No confirmation on release dates yet for these two.
