Corsair is updating their Neutron GTX SSDs with 19nm Toggle-NAND Flash as manufactured  by Toshiba. The original Corsair Neutron GTX line of performance SSDs were launched in 2012 with 24 nm toggle-NAND flash. 19nm Toggle NAND is a more cost effective NAND series but offers an added benefit. Lot's of SSD manufacturers are jumping to this NAND type as we speak.

There is a bit of discussion though as 19nm Toggle NAND apparantly has a increased life cycle e.g. the Memory cells die a little later then expected. Corsairs denotes the SSDs series with a MTBF of five years. Should the cells die then they go into read-only mode and if within Warranty, Corsair will replace them.

The 240GB version is equipped with Toshiba’s 19nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a controller IC LM87800, TRIM support, a MTBF of 2 million hours and can deliver read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 470MB/s, respectively. The Neutron GTX (CSSD-N240GBGTXB-BK) is priced at 25,900 Yen (about $274).
