Corsair has added a new NVMe SSD range to their product pages. The MP300-series is to be a cheaper, more budget offering of their NVMe SSDs.

Much like other competitors, this M2 SSD will run on a slower PCIe x2 link as well as (likely) using a cheaper controller. SSD solutions like these still will get your performance ranges of up to 1600 MB/s and writing speeds of up to 1080 MB/s, though the numbers vary per model due to available NAND channels to the controller (big SSDs have more chips to work with). In the end, these more value propositions offer double and even triple the speed (depending on how you look at it) of the fastest SATA3 SSD. But sure, also haf that of the fastest full speed products.

Corsair will offer the Mp300 series in four-volume sizes, 120, 240, 480 and 960 GB, they are fitted with vertical stacked (3D) NAND, written as TLC and these units receive a proper 5-year warranty. The Corsair Force Series MP300 SSDs are available for € 60, € 95, € 155 and € 315 respectively on the Corsair website, it's currently not yet known how much DRAM cache and what type of controller is used.
