A while ago some leaks exposed info on Intels Broadwell-E processors. We already knew that the mac-daddy version of Intel's processors, much like the current Core i7 5960X would be the 6000 series flagship processors. Additional info surfaced, the specs we posted earlier seem to be spot-on, we can now include the Turbo frequencies as well though.

Broadwell-E will be tied to the X99 chipset as the website mentions as these processors will be tied towards socket LGA2011-v3. That would be good news for X99 owners as only a BIOS update will be required to get the new processors supported.

BenchLife.info has spotted a new slide clearly indicating the right number of cores, Intel company is readying four SKUs based on the 14 nm "Broadwell-E" silicon, these include the Core i7-6800K, the Core i7-6850K, the Core i7-6900K, and the Core i7-6950K.

Here's the updated overview:

 ProcessorCores/threadsClock / BoostL3-cacheSocket
Intel Core i7-6950X 10/20 3,0GHz / 3,5GHz 25MB LGA2011-v3
Intel Core i7-6900K 8/16 3,2GHz / 3,7GHz 20MB LGA2011-v3
Intel Core i7-6850K 6/12 3,6GHz / 3,8GHz 15MB LGA2011-v3
Intel Core i7-6800K 6/12 3,4GHz / 3,6GHz 15MB LGA2011-v3

As stated, four models will be released, the  i7-6950X, i7-6900K, i7-6850K and i7- 6800K. That Core i7-6950X thus is the flagship CPU. X is Extreme with totally unlocked multipliers and voltages, the K models are more or less the same with a slightly lower voltage ceiling. All models will get Turbo (dynamic clock frequency) allowance as well. It is unknown when the new processors will be released precisely as Intel has been moving back and forth data from slides quite a lot in the past. The TDP for these processors will likely be 140W.

The slide also has some interesting stuff on Kaby lake in its 28/35/65/ and 95 Watt models. Have a peek, the slide originates from Benchlife.info, click on the thumbnail.
