Buffalo unveiled a new wireless LAN repeater, the WEX-1166DHPS. The WEX-1166DHPS is equipped with a built-in antenna, a WPS button and 1x wired LAN port, and supports for dual-band WiFi access point (2.4GHz – 300Mbps and 5GHz – 866Mbps).
Designed to extend the radio range of the wireless LAN into out-of-reach areas of the home. Corresponding to high-speed WiFi standard 11ac, the WEX-1166DHPS provides security through encryption using WPA 2-PSK (AES), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA/WPA 2 mixed PSK (AES/TKIP) and WEP (128/64bit).
Measuring W65mm x D40mm x H95mm, the Buffalo WEX-1166DHPS will hit the market from late December for around $64.
