When you look at it you think EIZO right ? Nope, this is BenQ with their 27-inch professional WQHD monitor, the PV270. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of video post-production and graphic art professionals, this new 27-inch IPS LED-backlight monitor (Technicolor Color Certified) supports a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

It has a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms (GTG) response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. There's also a 32" model. The 27” PV270 is the most of the since it covers 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut used by Hollywood. 32” PV3200PT only covers the regular sRGB and Rec.709 gamuts. However, instead of 2560x1440 pixels on the 27” PV270, the 32” PV3200PT offers 3480x2160 pixels. Both monitors have 10-bit panels and accurate colors (less than deltaE 1.5). 27” PV270 is also “Technicolor Color Certified”.

If you are working with video you will also appreciate that the monitors can handle native 24fps video. Another cool feature for PV270 is “GamutDuo”, which allows you to display two input sources side-by-side in Rec.709 and DCI-P3.

Providing 100% coverage of the Rec. 709, 99% of the Adobe RGB color space and 96% of the DCI-P3 standards, the PV270 comes with a number of input ports including 1x DVI, 1x HDMI1.4, 1x DisplayPort1.2, 1x mini DisplayPort1.2 and 3-port USB 3.0 hub. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet. You can connect the monitors to a PC or Mac via one of the HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 or mini DisplayPort 1.2 ports. However, be aware that HDMI 1.4 does not support 3840x2160 at 60 Hz, which is required for the 32” monitor. BenQ says that both monitors can be turned 90 degrees into pivot and that both have 2x USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader built-in.

BenQ PV3200PT will be available in April 2016 and BenQ PV270 will be available in May 2016. Pricing details were not announced.
