ASUS has released the S1 Mobile LED Projector, a portable rechargeable projector with a sleek aluminium chassis. It' now available in retail stores for $319. The device uses a 0.3" DLP, it has a 854 x 480 pixel resolution and a maximum light output of 200 lumen.
Battery life is specified as up to 3 hours in battery mode (50 lumen) and up to 1.8 hours in presentation mode (70 lumen). Audio is provided by an integrated 2W speaker with ASUS SonicMaster Audio technology.
The ASUS S1 Mobile LED Projector measures 110.5mm x 102mm x 30.7mm and weighs 342g. It has a HDMI/MHL input and one audio output.

With the best-in-class short-throw ratio, the S1 displays a 41-inch diagonal projection just one meter away from the screen – this makes it ideal for presentations in confined spaces.
The S1 has an LED light source rated at 200 lumens, with a 100% NTSC wide color gamut for bright, photo-realistic projections. This eco-friendly LED light source has a 30,000-hour lifespan, which translates to long-term savings by doing away with the need for replacement lamps. The use of LEDs gives the S1 the ability to power on instantly meaning there is no waiting when it’s time to give that important presentation.
Exceptional audio and connectivity
The S1 provides exceptional sound through its ASUS SonicMaster-enhanced speaker, and is compatible with laptops, media players and game consoles thanks to its HDMI port. The Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) lets the S1 project content from an MHL-compatible* mobile device while simultaneously charging it.
