ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced OC Showdown 2017 Team Edition, a brand-new, five-stage online competition that invites overclocking squads to compete to win prizes with a total value of US$5,000.
ROG OC Showdown 2017 Team Edition is aimed at enthusiast overclockers working in teams. The competition is open to both existing HWBOT’s teams and new groups, with new teams free to register at any time.
In order to reach the top overall team ranking, individual overclockers will have to submit their best scores in five distinct stages. Stages 1 and 2 are limited to overclockers using only air or water cooling. From Stage 3, overclockers using extreme-cooling methods can submit scores – but air-cooling scores can also be submitted.
OC Showdown 2017 Team Edition’s five distinct Stages are detailed in the following table, with full details and rules available on the competition page at http://oc-esports.io/#!/round/rogocs17_teamedition:

- Team A - Overclocker 3 submitted with i7 7700K
At the conclusion of the competition, the two teams that have accumulated the most points overall will received a bundle of prizes that includes latest ROG Maximus IX Apex and Crosshair Vi Hero motherboards, ROG Strix GTX 1050Ti graphics card, Seasonic® Prime power supply, EKWB water-cooling kit, G.Skill DDR4 memory, Thermal Grizzly thermal paste and Open Benchtable Black Edition.
