Asus Rampage V Extreme X99 Photos

More X99 news today as in Sweden photos of the Asus Rampage V Extreme X99 for Haswell-E got posted. The ROG board has a traditional Red/Back design and is looking rather nice with five PCIE x16 slots and one x1 slot. The board once again comes with the ASUS OC panel.

From the photo's we can see 8 SATA3 ports, 2 Sata Express and one M.2. slot. The Asus Rampage V Extreme also shows 8 DIMM slots. We also see 10xUSB 3.0 at the rear side and the new 3x3 Wireless LAN from ASUS. Which if the rumors are true, would offer up-to 1.3 GHz WIFI.

Sexy ! Have a look. The photos are courtesy of sweclockers.com

Just what I was looking for. Looks like the one for me - been saving to upgrade my X58 system. Thank goodness for the PS2 connection. I was worried about not being there. Thanks for the news...

Dreamy mobo. I'll consider buying one. Using that with 32gb ddr4 installed and a couple of SSDs at redundant array of independent disks, you have a smoothly working system for at least 4 years. :pc1: The only deterrent effect is that no powerful GPUs for decent 4K gaming are available yet. That thing with the technology you win here and there and you lose at other points. :puke2:

How would it slow down his PC?

He's probably wanting it for key rollover.

I've got a PS2 Keyboard and I want to use it. Lots of mechanical keyboards are native PS2 and I do indeed want it for key rollover.

Lovely motherboard!

This is gunna be a tricky one for me. Need a board with either a free PCIe x1 for my firewire card, or onboard firewire (for my soundcard). This might cut it, although it's a waste of an x16 slot...

And it doesn't spam the system with ISR counts, just sends a hardware interrupt. Although USB 3.0 solves this.

If recall right that was a bug in the driver do keep in mind that hardware changes faster the software dose.
