ASUS has released their latest 24x internal DVD writer, the DRW-24D3ST. Adopting the E-Green function (to reduce by up to 50% power consumption during non-operation), the drive features a SATA connection interface and promises to provide write speeds of up to 24x for DVD-R/+R. The DRW-24D3ST retails for 2,500 Yen (about $24).
Is shifted to the idle state the operating state of the drive, "E-Green" function is to reduce by up to 50% power consumption when you are not using the drive. I will be returning to the active state automatically when the drive is used during idle.
