ASUS Adds Three ROG TUF Series X299 motherboard

ASUS will be adding the ROG Strix X299-E GAMING, TUF X299 MARK 1 and TUF X299 MARK 2 with Intel X299 chipsets to the channel, all should launch today or tomorrow. 



The ROG STRIX X299-E GAMING is a model that sits in the "ROG STRIX" range and comes with an ATX form factor, and it has RGB LEDs and can handle DDR 4 - 4133 MHz × 8 (maximum 128 GB), M.2 × 2, SATA 3.0 (6 Gbps) × 8. Expansion slots are PCI - Express 3.0 (x16) x 3, PCI - Express 3.0 (x4) x 2, multi graphics co up to 3 - way. The network is based on Intel Gigabit LAN (Intel I 219 V), IEEE 802.11ac /a/b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.2. The audio circuit is absed on a high sound quality circuit "SupremeFX" adopting the Realtek S1220A chip.

The TUF X299 MARK 1 is a top model emphasized durability and stability. A thermal armor board has been equipped with a 40 mm fan that feeds air directly the PCB. M.2 SSD get a heatsink and it also comes with a "TUF VGA HOLDER" that safely supports heavyweight graphics cards. The main specs are are DDR 4 - 4000 MHz × 8 (128 GB maximum) memory, M.2 × 2 storage, SATA 3.0 (6 Gbps) × 8. Expansion slots are PCI - Express 3.0 (x16) x 3, PCI - Express 3.0 (x4) x 2. The network jack is Intel dual gigabit LAN (Intel I 219 V / I 211), and the audio circuit is again based on S1220A.

The TUF X299 MARK 2 offers DDR 4 - 4000 MHz × 8 (128 GB maximum) memory slot, M.2 × 2 storage, SATA 3.0 (6 Gbps) × 6. Expansion slots are PCI - Express 3.0 (x16) x 3, PCI - Express 3.0 (x4) x 2. The network uses has Intel I219V ), audio circuit and the audio circuit is again based on S1220A.
