Apple today launches the more affordable iPhone SE. It comes with a 4-inch screen and is paired with an A9 SoC. The SE is the first 4-inch smart-phone ever since the iPhone 5s which dates back towards 2013.

The small(er) iPhone SE uses design elements that the iPhone series 6 and 5s also uses. The 12 Mpixel camera is similar to the one used in the 6s, the camera sensor has 1,22 micron pixels and is 1/3".

The iPhone SE also uses the same A9-soc as the 6s with two Twister CPU cores and 1.8 GHz backed by a PowerVR GT7600-gpu from Imagination. From the looks of it, Samsung is responsible for the A9 at fabbed at 14nm. The 4" screen is similar to that of the 5, 5s and 5c and has a resolution of 1136x640 pixels.

De iPhone SE will cost 489 euro for the 16GB-version and 589 euro for the 64GB model. The SE is available oN march 31st with pre-orders starting March 29th in the EU.
