AMD to launch five 800 series chipsets in Q2 of 2010

More motherboard news today. You guys know that AMD is working on the series 800 motherboard chipset. It seems it due in Q2 2010 and form the basis of the desktop Leo and mainstream Dorado platforms including nex-gen CPU, DirectX 11 graphics and 8 series chipset.

AMD 890FX/GX + SB850 actually is expected to launch shortly aftyer CeBIT in April. As part of the "Leo" platform for enthusiasts it is going to replace the current dragon platform. Followed by AMD 880G + SB810 part of the "Dorado" mainstream platform which will surface in May 2010 in replacing current AMD 785G + SB710 chipset.


AMD latest chipset all offer SATA III 6 Gb/s and USB 3.0 support with integrated MAC and clock generator.
