June is going to be a busy timeframe for technology websites as AMD is to launch their AMD "Richland" APUs based on the the socket FM2 package. There will be three of the first models to be released initially to the market, the A10-6800K, the A10-6700, and the A4-4400. These could already be in stock with retailers, as they are pictured.

AMD’s Richland APU will be based off a 32nm manufacturing process featuring enhanced version of the x86 Piledriver architecture. The Richland APU’s would be compatible with FM2 socket motherboards fused with the A85X ‘Bolton D3′ chipset reports gamingio.com

The Richland APU’s feature compatibility with DDR3 DIMMs rated at 1866 MHz + O.C, the chipset is set to feature 4 USB 3.0 ports, 14 USB 2.0 ports and eight SATA 6GB/s devices. The leak also names the entire Richland APU lineup. The list consists of the following:

  • A10-6800K Radeon HD 8670D/ Quad Core 100W
  • A10-6700 Radeon HD 8670D/ Quad Core 65W
  • A4-4400 Radeon HD 8370D/ Dual Core 65W

The A10-6800K (AD680KWOA44HL) has four x86-64 cores based on the "Piledriver" micro-architecture, 4.10 GHz core clock speed, 4.40 GHz maximum Turbo Core frequency, and Radeon HD 8670D graphics, clocked at 844 MHz.

The A10-6700 (AD6700OKA44HL) has the very same graphics core as the A10-6800K, but features 3.70 GHz CPU clock speed, 4.30 GHz maximum Turbo Core frequency, and an upwards locked base-clock multiplier.

The A4-4400 (AD4400OKA23HL), on the other hand, is an entry-level dual-core chip with 3.70 GHz core, 3.90 GHz Turbo Core, and Radeon HD 8370D graphics.

Later on in addition to these quad-core models, the Richland APU lineup also consists of 65W part models. Both the A10-6700 and A8-6500 will feature 65W TDP and lower clock speeds to achieve the low-power consumption mark. While the iGP in A10-6700 and A8-6500 will be HD 8670D and HD 8570D respectively.

The Richland APU lineup consists of only two dual-core models with a TDP of 65W. Both dual-core models will feature a lower-end iGP.
