AMD Radeon RX 560X spotted on 3DMark - Might be just for Laptops

A bit of a weird story this, yesterday news hit the web that the AMD website is showing all series 500 Radeon cards with an X entry, thus say Radeon RX 560X, now AMD RX 560X seems to have appeared as a Futuremark's 3DMark Sky Diver database entry.

The interesting part about this spot isn't the 560X, but more overly, that it is a mobile part? The listing shown is for an Acer Laptop, offering specifications and closely match the company's upcoming Nitro 5 series notebook, which uses an AMD Ryzen 5 Mobile 2500U CPU, reports oC3D:

When Acer initially announced AMD Ryzen/Radeon Nitro 5, the notebook was reported to have a Radeon RX 560 GPU, though now the laptop has listed with a Radeon RX 560X graphics card on Acer's website, suggesting that AMD's Radeon RX 500X series of GPUs are intended for the mobile market.  Laptop Media has also listed AMD's Radeon RX 560X as an upgraded version of AMD's RX 560M GPU, offering a Polaris 21 GPU core with 1024 shader units and a clock speed of 1275MHz, which is identical to the clock speeds listed on 3DMARK. This suggests that AMD's RX 500X series of GPUs are intended for the mobile market, with Acer's Nitro 5 notebook confirming that the RX 560X will use GDDR5 memory, not GDDR6 or GDDR5X.

The RX 560X would be an upgraded version of the Radeon RX 560M, a Polaris 11/21 CPU (built on 14nm FinFET manufacturing process) with 1024 shader units, the clock speed is boosted to 1275 MHz – 73 MHz higher than the older model.

Updated: On Reddit Tul (PowerColor) has stated that the RX 500X series is an OEM rebranding of the RX 500 series and not a new SKU for AIBs
