Earlier on we talked about a Tahiti 7900 GPU being used for an upcoming 7800 series card. It seems that this, lets call it Tahiti LE with product name Radeon HD 7890, it seems it will be launching on November 27. The website HT4U states that the card will not be based upon an AMD-reference design and its AIB partners will be free to use their existing HD 7900 series boards on the product. That means we should see a lot of customized and factory overclocked models.

We know from slightly older reports that "Tahiti LE" is being designed to occupy a price point between the Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition and the Radeon HD 7950, and will be a limited edition.

Information like clock speeds, core and memory configurations are unknown, the new 7890 is being designed to be 15% faster than GeForce GTX 660 on average, at similar prices.
