So, here I was thinking it was going to be at least another year before I saw this game. Five years in the making, I mean I was still in college when this thing was first announced. So I started thinking back of all the beer, parties and fun. Thank God Everquest wasn't around than, I wouldn't have done anything. Suffice it to say, Neverwinter Nights finally hit the shelves. Now I have seen some reviews of this game, and I don't know how much these people are getting paid, but it isn't enough. The sole reason why I became a reviewer was to give an honest impression on a game after giving it EXTENSIVE game play. Unfortunately, others are jumping the gun on Neverwinter Nights being the save all end all of RPG's. Unfortunately, if it worked right it might just do that. Read on, and hear the Good, the bad, and the ugly.

Neverwinter Nights is an AD&D 3rd edition rules set game in which you can play a single player module written by Bioware, you can play the single player module in Multiplayer with friends, but 3rd and foremost, you can create your own worlds and DM them as well. Every little thing you can possible imagine, just like pen and paper. In the Single player campaign, you are destined to find out who is behind the evil that has plagued Neverwinter with a sickness. The story progresses and actually has a very nice plot. Your character will advance via AD&D 3rd edition rules, which are very refreshing. You can create and customize your character with regards to skin color, hair color, and body size. Almost reminiscent of the good old Gold Box days. You can take charge of one of many many classes. All with their own feats, abilities, and spells.

As you progress through the storyline, you gain levels, which you can attribute skill points to various feats, as well as gain spells and the ability to wield and wear higher level armor and weapons. All in all, a pretty steady layout.

Worse than Diablo and Diablo II, you do not even have to cast anything this time. Just click on the stone and escape any danger. Rest, come back and finish. No strategy required. Bioware? Listening? Please put a timer or a use effect in this so you cannot use it during battle? I'll give you 5 dollah!
