Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind

Five Years in the making. RPG fans from all over the world have been patiently, and most impatiently, gearing up to play one of this years most awaited titles in what could very well make RPG history. Without sounding like a fanboi of Morrowind, I have to say that this is the most incredible experience I have ever had during my 20+ years of Video/Computer gaming. And I have not even begun to scratch the surface of what seems to be a game that has no boundaries. Normally I save the "good, bad, and the ugly" of a review until the very end. However, I feel the need to shout out something after playing this incredible game nonstop for over 5 days now.

  • The Good: It broke my Everquest addiction!
  • The Bad: It broke my Everquest addiction :(
  • The Ugly: Take a wild stab Miss Cleo

This is what Miss Cleo told me...

Morrowind, produced by Bethesda Softworks Inc., follows the same line of its predecessors. Its extreme open ended gameplay creates an intricate world into which the player can explore, conquer, learn, and last but not least, actually feel a part of. Morrowind is unique to the imagination. You can do just about anything you want in this game, given the freedom that has been bestowed upon you. From your character's creation, you have been released from prison by the Majesty himself. Why? Only time will tell. I am not about to give away any morsel of storyline to the people that wish to read this review. Suffice it to say, the main storyline of which our hero follows is quite in depth, with many sub quests - and after I finish the game playing 10 hours a day for a year (Yes that is how big this game is) I am sure I will be enjoying the story for years to come as I continue to play out my role in the world.
