Diablo2: Lord of Destruction
Ok,
I was playing Diablo2, I know what you're gonna say "There are way newer
games than that". Maybe so, but Diablo 2 is coming out with an expansion
pack. So for all you Diablo 2 freaks out there here's a little taste of
what's in store. He really doesn't look at the new Druid class character
but, he does give you a great idea of what to expect from the new
Assassin class. This guy's been BETA testing Diablo2: Lord of
Destruction for a bit now and i talked him into giving us some idea of
what's new besides an 800x600 resolution option. He also gives a
strategy guide to the Assassin class character....oh yeah and of course
a whack-load of pics.
"Let me start out by saying a little bit about myself.
I would not consider myself a hardcore Diablo2 player, therefore this
will be more of a commentary on my experiences playing the Beta as a
casual D2 fan, rather than an in-depth analysis of the entire Expansion
that can already be found on most fan sites. However, I hope that most
casual and even experienced players will find this an interesting
insight as to what LoD will offer. Lastly, having played pretty much
nothing but the Assassin class up to level 48, and a second assassin at
level 15, needless to say any patron of the Assassin class should
benefit from this article.
After playing Diablo2 for many months, I started to find the
running-through of Act4 Hell got ridiculously boring, not to mention
effortless. The game presented no challenge, no novelty, and duplicated
items and Stones of Jordan's plagued the Realms. Needless to say, I was
pleasantly surprised when I received a copy of the Expansion Pack (or
Xpac) Beta! Although the Beta only allowed USWest characters (I'm on
USEast) to be copied onto the Beta Realm, starting from scratch turned
out quite well. I decided to go with the Assassin class, since I prefer
more melee combat over magic & summoning (both of which the Druid offers
plenty).
