What's New ?

What’s New: The first version was great for its time, however, now we have huge amounts of power just waiting to be used, those people at Codemasters went and created this. The cars each have their own individual sounds and features.

Codemasters spent a long time with Ford and Colin McRae to get the handling perfect. The replay option is becoming very common now in car games. You can sit back and bore you family with how you took that corner at 80mph and how you did a hand-brake turn at high speed. However, this replay option is so good that you will not need to call people over, they will flock to see the graphics at work.

Damage: Not many car games have this quality of damage realism. If you scrape past a wall, you will get a scratch. If you hit a tree at 80mph, you will buckle your car, smash windows, and change how the car handles, accelerates, and changes gear etc.

The car changes every time you hit something, if you have completely removed the boot lid and the bottom bumper, then damage will still continue to happen, your wheels with go off line, your clutch will slip and your engine will not let you go past 50mph.
