Download the GeForce 313.96 Beta driver. This is the recommended GeForce driver for the Crysis 3 Multiplayer Open Beta. It delivers a smoother gaming experience, and boosts SLI performance by up to 65%. EA’s recommended GeForce GPU for Crysis 3 is a GeForce GTX 560 or higher. For the Hi-Performance PC Specification, EA recommends GeForce GTX 680.

Other highlights include sizeable SLI and single-GPU performance gains of up to 27% in Assassin’s Creed III, 19% in Civilization V, 14% in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, 14% in DiRT 3, 11% in Just Cause 2, 10% in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, 10% in F1 2012, and 10% in Far Cry 3.

Rounding out the release is a SLI profile for the newly released DmC: Devil May Cry, and an updated profile for the free-to-play, third-person co-op shooter, Warframe.

GeForce 313.96 drivers fix an installation issue reported with GeForce 313.95 drivers with international (non-English) driver packages.

Hmmmm, these look promising... 24% increase in framerates with GTX 690 (and, thus, GTX 6x0 SLI) for Assassin's Creed III. A bit late perhaps but better that than never!

I would if NVIDIA have added optimizations for Ace Combat: Assault Horizon as the v310.90 drivers had a SLI profile for the game but yet it only runs on one of my GPUs. The game still runs smoothly though but it is puzzling how they can include a SLI profile that actually does not work! :3eyes:

Thanks but somehow the setup of the international version on my german x64 Win7 simply hangs. I see the nvidia logo flicker and then nothing. Process setup.exe stays there forever. Never had this before. This happens even after a complete driver removal. Reinstalling 310.90 works.

Maybe I can get back to ACIII now. :) The hitches dropping below 60fps were killing me enough to want warrant taking a break.

Same here. The installation routine of the international driver version seems to be broken. That's not a good sign if even such obvious driver problems stay unnoticed prior to a public release. Yes, I know it's a Beta, but at least it should install, right?

I'll test these tonight and post some feedback in this reserved slot as opposed to wasting a post saying "Thanks" or "Awesome" or "Installing Now" etc.

Edit 1 - Installed over the top of the latest WHQL drivers with the clean install option, no issues as usual though my screen did remain black for part of the install, however it hasn't misplaced my icons this time round so perhaps the install here has been improved.

Edit 2 - Well I tested this driver on CS:GO and BF3, both games run flawless for me as always on my GTX 4XX series. I wasn't expecting any issues to be honest as I've never had any with any of the drivers released in the last year for my card.

stuttering in BF3, going back to the quadro. Those were perfect in ALL games.

I wonder what that V-sync On (Smooth) option does? Is it the equivalent of capping the framerate to 1 fps less than the refresh rate of the screen, e.g. 59 fps for a 60 Hz display? I can't see it being a triple buffering option at this point (NVIDIA have ignored it for years after all except for OpenGL) as many developers seem to implement it into the games now even if it isn't an option as I don't generally see the sudden telltale dips from 60 fps to 30 fps and then back up to 60 fps anymore.

The 690 is nothing else but a single PCB SLI system...

According to this post, it's some kind of additional frametime smoothing for SLI configurations that has already been in the drivers before but if now an official feature:

To me the words "Up to 28%" includes 0% and maybe even some negative numbers.

Well I've just done 70 minutes in Battlefield 3 with these new beta drivers and everything is smooth ! No frame skipping or stuttering. Feels nice and fast so I'm a happy chappy :)
