Download the NVIDIA GeForce 310.61 Beta 32/64-bit driver
The new GeForce 310.61 beta drivers are now available to download. Otherwise identical to last week's 310.54 beta driver, 310.61 beta improves compatibility in Hitman: Absolution and Planetside 2, and supports a new Black Ops II SLI profile that's available through NVIDIA update.
If you have any feedback please leave a comment at the bottom of the article, and if you have a technical issue please report the problem via the NVIDIA Display Driver Feedback Form.
Note: We're releasing the 310.61 beta drivers ahead of schedule so gamers can play Hitman: Absolution without delay.
In last month’s GeForce 310.33 beta driver we improved performance by up to 15% in nine games, and this month we’re improving performance by up to 26% in twenty games. Leading the charge in the 310.54 beta driver is a 26% boost for the upcoming and eagerly-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which hits stores tomorrow, followed by an 18% boost for The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, a 17.8% boost for Assassin’s Creed III, which arrives in stores November 20th, and a 12.9% boost for Battlefield 3.
Below, we detail the complete range of optimizations packed into the 310.54 beta drivers using the GeForce GTX 680 and GTX 660; at home you should expect to see performance improvements on any system utilizing a GeForce GTX 400, 500, or 600 series GPU, though obviously to varying degrees.

I am using these but BF3 seems choppy. It was way smoother with previous drivers. I hope they fix this.... Other than that I have no issues.

I dont think this is an Nvidia issue as if tried 3 diff driver sets now and all give the same result. Im gonna say this is a DICE problem.

Yeah, it's been going on more than a year now, bf3 good with these! no! bf3 bad with these!
Seeing as bf3 has been the most complained about game in nvidia history i imagine if it were their fault it would be fixed by now.

I quit playin a while back after the suppression patch, i used to use x2 580s for the game (i tried with one but it couldn't manage).
I never really had any probs with the game.
All i'm saying is in a general nvidia driver feedback thread, all your gonna hear about is bf3.

Good point, thanks though.

Mine is relatively low. Since you're asking, I suppose for you too. Hovering between 60%-90%, only 99% in really demanding situations. Vsync is off.
Can't be a CPU bottleneck since I'm running a stock i7 980...

^thanks mate.
Im getting between 35-50ish but a constant 60fps, though a nice constant stutter aswell for some reason.

I guess it's no wonder BF3 is being mentioned so often. Many people play it regularly, it's very demanding and then patches or different maps/settings have thrown the performance around wildly many times already.
These drivers have been working great for me but then I haven't tried much apart from Black Ops 2.

Damn, I was hoping this new driver would help for my SLi'ed GTX670 (2), had a crash while playing just now (FW310.54), and PQ looked.......messed up. When out in the open, it looked fine, but when I go into a sheltered area, like a building, black/shaded areas looked washed out, sort of like misty. The reason why I'd not seen or reported this was simply because I've been playing BF3 on my AMD rigs, and they handled the game very well. Heck, with the Cat12.11 Beta8 driver, BF3 is quite playable @6036x1200 + 4xMSAA + Ultra.....and my HD6990 in my 3rd rig runs it beautifully @1080P, maxed out.

OK, I've resolved the washed out shadows/dark areas, it seems enabling MSAA caused it. I was able to max out everything else, but no MSAA. Surprisingly, no crash with the 310.61Beta driver, BF3 ran well, albeit w/o MSAA due to graphics glitch.

MOHW still stutters badly with these - not that its the most popular game.. but with 310.54 having the issue with in 120hz in that game, 310.33 are butter smooth in MOHW where these are not.

Only 310.54 and 310.61 let BF3.exe crash!

Just played BF3 for 2 hours, no issues as per usual on my GTX470. Win7 x64 SP1.
I've followed this thread for a while but most of the issues presented appear to affect the 6 series as is the case for most threads so I guess I'll have to draw my own conclusions.

I just had 2 more crashes within 40mins of gameplay. Could it be related to MSI Afterburner? Do you other guys with crashes have this tool opened too?

I'm using MSI Afterburner 2.3.3 I believe and it's not causing an issue for me.

I recently switched from EVGA Precision X to MSI AB, got crashes in both, so that's not the issue.

Sigh! You will have them, too! Its the same driver, nothing changed for BF3, read the Changelog waht "only" changes!
Play a few hours straight and will also crash!!!!!
More odd you have not!!!
Crashes are gone for me too, somebody from NV also said it's gone for him, this was eventually related to p-state optimizations iirc. Just because there have not been any changes specific to BF3, that doesn't mean there was no general fix that improved the overall situation. I had crashes in GW2 too with 310.54 that are gone with 310.61.
