GeForce 310.61 Beta Driver Download

Download the NVIDIA GeForce 310.61 Beta 32/64-bit driver
The new GeForce 310.61 beta drivers are now available to download. Otherwise identical to last week's 310.54 beta driver, 310.61 beta improves compatibility in Hitman: Absolution and Planetside 2, and supports a new Black Ops II SLI profile that's available through NVIDIA update.
If you have any feedback please leave a comment at the bottom of the article, and if you have a technical issue please report the problem via the NVIDIA Display Driver Feedback Form.
Note: We're releasing the 310.61 beta drivers ahead of schedule so gamers can play Hitman: Absolution without delay.
In last month’s GeForce 310.33 beta driver we improved performance by up to 15% in nine games, and this month we’re improving performance by up to 26% in twenty games. Leading the charge in the 310.54 beta driver is a 26% boost for the upcoming and eagerly-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which hits stores tomorrow, followed by an 18% boost for The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, a 17.8% boost for Assassin’s Creed III, which arrives in stores November 20th, and a 12.9% boost for Battlefield 3.
Below, we detail the complete range of optimizations packed into the 310.54 beta drivers using the GeForce GTX 680 and GTX 660; at home you should expect to see performance improvements on any system utilizing a GeForce GTX 400, 500, or 600 series GPU, though obviously to varying degrees.

They didn't say anything about crashing, and I know they are heavy into the game so they play in long spurts.

When are you going to put SLI in Assisins Creed 3? So far it crashes the game in SLI mode.

Too bad they aren't good ones. No sli for Need for Speed MW, only 50% gpu usage in Ass. Creed III resulting in 30 fps at times.

Even if they probably had access to AC3 long before (is it a TWIMTBP title?), the game was released just two days ago... but I know they're working on it.

I had BF3.exe crashes with the previous BETA drivers but with these so far I did not have any crashes, although I didn't play that much, overall 5-6 hours this week or so.

These drivers, include a SLI profile for Assassins creed 3 but its a bit pointless as the shadows flicker like mad in snowy areas making the game quite unplayable for those portions of the game,
on 2-way SLI 680's

I'm using these and have played a lot of bf3 lately and i had no crashes at all. Odd that some people report that they have problems with these. Buttery smooth, running my 670 with 1202 Core.

310.33 runs pretty well with the games I currently play, so didn't bother to try this new beta.

I have discovered that just like Skyrim, AC3 has major issues when running over 60fps. Shadow flicker, object popping and other graphical glitches were fixed for me by turning on adaptive (half) vsync since I use a 120Hz panel.
Disabling SLI also gave better performance.

Well BF3 is still not it, overall its still slower compared to 306.97 by cpu limited parts - I was playing TDM Noishar Canals 32player match., 310.54 was kinda better but had that weird jitter after certain time ~ 2hrs+.
And by respawn it takes a while to buffer the scene to max fps cap (2-3 sec), before it was instant 1-2sec max.
The ony thing that's kinda fixed is that weird fps drop by smoke and explosions (started with 310.33 & 310.34).

Hitman doesn't run well at all. FPS falls to 30 very often and there's a stuttery feeling. When it's at 60 it's butter smooth. I'll be sad if I can't max out the game at 60FPS with these cards

I'm starting to wonder why developers don't give a damn about 120hz display owners. I mean okay, they are still a small piece of the cake - but why would you make the engine dependent on never exeeding 60FPS?
Also, AC3's Multiplayer uses the old AC engine. It allows for 8x MSAA instead of any TXAA option + you can disable VSynch in the options (which is only possible by .ini for the SinglePlayer).

Crashs & freezes with GTX660 Ti in Planetside2 and Civilization5.

These BF3 crashes are so annoying. It's completely random and when it happens during a Squad Rush I feel like throwing my cards off the balcony.
Nvidia needs to fix this **** fast.

Upgraded from .34's to these to see if bf3 would work better...Nope.
Theres still some weird form of smokey haze going on, changing settings does nothing to rid it.
Also: going up and down between 30-50 on gpu usage on both card, running at 60fps but looks like its around 50, stuttering.
Edit: ah i see, Msaa is the problem.

Having a SLI profile does not mean it works, it currently does not work correctly. I have no graphic issues with AC3, just SLI not working.

Because they make games with consoles in mind now.

Well I'm quite sure the consoles are capped at 30FPS for AC3 because they struggled with more, no?
This was at least the case in BF3.
Anyway next-gen consoles will hopefully be released soon so we PC enthusiasts can at least hope for a new performance standard on the level of the AMD 6770 (which either the PS4 or Xbox720 is going to have).

Awesome! Time to enjoy Battlefield 3 at it's best again!
This issue was driving me nuts, sometimes I would get so mad I'd just disable Ambient Oclussion (SSAO/HBAO) even though it looks amazing, those slow downs really made me go nuts, glad they fixed them.
