A new ForceWare driver was found at NVIDIA's FTP server today. This is ForceWare 66.77 for Windows 2000/XP which has been WHQL certified (Microsoft tested and approved). The WHQL stamp is only for GeForce 6 series GPUs as the release highlights state, we're not sure about the FX series. These drivers are intended for (as release notes state) Windows XP Media Center Edition. They should worl just fine on XP though.
These drivers are intended for the the FX series and Series 6 GPU's (GeForce 6200/6600/6800).
The driver includes a handy setup.exe and for the cards not supported, we included a modified .inf file to get you going.
If you give the drivers a try then be sure to let us know your experiences in our NVIDIA driver forums.
The build date of the drivers is October the 15th 2004.
Mirror #1 and #2 point directly towards the NVIDIA servers and serve the original 19 MB package, the Europe and American mirrors are our own, these packages have been recompressed by us (nothing changed just better compression) towards a nice 10 MB + include a modified .inf file (should you need it) if your graphics card is not supported. Everything starting at GeForce FX and higher is at default supported though.
