Download the AMD Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 driver

This AMD Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 driver is compatible with AMD Radeon HD 5000, HD 6000 and HD 7000 Series graphics cards. This display driver supports Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8. There are no full release notes released just yet, but given the timing, this most certainly is an optimized Crysis 3 driver.

With this driver, these products offer support for WDDM 1.2, which is an updated model for graphics drivers that Microsoft has developed to ensure smooth performance and wide compatibility in their new operating system.

Had the random Chrome idling issue too, did some research and found a temp fix. Go to Chrome Properties->Shortcut Tab->Target and than add this to the end of the line "--disable-gpu --disable-software-rasterizer"

Full line should read (example): "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-gpu --disable-software-rasterizer

After doing this my idling issues stopped..
Hopefully Chrome or AMD can address the issue in a future release.

You need to reproduce it, consistently, and report it.

They cant fix what they cant reproduce.

Because the only thing AMD cares about if it supports Eyfinity or CFX, not whether it actually runs well. Just look at Far Cry 3 or any number of AMD Evolved games. Just because it has that logo doesn't mean it actually runs well.

Not sure if it changed or not in later betas, but I was on beta 5, and it caused my computer to BSoD when I tried recording gameplay of GW2 with Evolve.

That was the only game that had an issue too with recording strangely. Reverted to 13.1, and I no longer crash.

Well. DeusEX: HR runs perfectly. I always had trouble with games which had Nvidia logo. Usually stupid things as no Vsync in game menu...

Sometimes when I right click in firefox, the box with properties etc comes out invisible. Weird.

Other than that I have had good performance with these.

    SURE TAKING FOREVER AROUND HERE.

All jesting aside, I am annoyed we haven't gotten a "Used in all games" version, and just the "Used in specific games" beta's

Same here. And I think that means that drivers with rewritten memory management will be 13.3 or later. That obviously sucks.

p.s. anyone here use lucid logix on p8z77 asus motherboards?

Just curious. I have Gigabyte's WF3 and with 25% fans I have 27 in idle. Rooms temp is 21C.

    What cooler you are using?

BTW, no spikes on my GPU with this driver. :3eyes:

Nothing special - just the default (dual) fans that came with my card.

Hello everyone, I've created account just to share what I notice.

Im impressed by the way how these drivers improves the performance in GW2. Its simply amazing. I got main problem that makes me not able to use them tho.

I record a lot with Dxtory - pretty much on daily basis - but with these drivers it is impossible due to an error. Everytime I press recording button, the screen just freezes. Sometimes it is possible to stop recording, refresh the application and I can see the screen again but during that time, the screen is just stack in one place.

Im not sure did anyone report it but it is confirmed to be 13.2 bug as reverting drivers to 13.1 resolves the problem entirely - except the fact Im losing performance again :s

    Hope that helps! Cheers!

This is somewhat interesting. I use a totally different program, but it too has issues with recording in GW2 with 13.2 (beta 5 at least)

i assume fraps records fine? certain sets of apps capture in different ways

plus there was that xsplit crashing issue that went on for a few drivers

Dxtory captures directly from the videocard frame buffer, fastest way but could be error prone

I've had zero issues capturing with Dxtory and Skyrim though, and its one of the modified frame render games

Man Tressfx is gorgeous but gives you a 10fps dip. On the other hand 660ti users are getting 15-20 fps dips so I'm happy Nixxes optimized this game so good for AMD. Hopefully we can get a beta by tomorrow (as usual)

Well my videocard is somewhat old but it gives insane drops during the close-up looks and cutscenes that they're pretty much unwatchable. It's like 5-10 FPS during the cutscenes with TressFX enabled. And it's only ONE head while PhysX, tesselation etc etc affects a lot of stuff.
I didn't read a lot of news about TR and TressFX in general but it looks to me that they implemented that TFX at the last moment and didn't have much time to optimize it.

Tomb raider is absolutely gorgeous, its running fairly consistantly at 60FPS for me with all settings max + TressFX, but tressfx is showing some weird behaviour, almost flickering - i'm putting that down to crossfire though and like mentioned above I think Tressfx may have been a little rushed so bound to have some issues here and there.

Overall, very pleased with Laras tits.
