Great! Beta 7 also improves single-card performance. A nice bump in MP and SP

Thank you Mate, Also 13.2 Beta 4 has no issues with HDMI sound on the 7000 series if you need to have it as i do.
Hope that helps somehow.

To anyone using crossfire, do you think its worth the investment? I really need some more gpu power but im a bit hesitant to add another card and end up dealing with microstutter ect. On the other hand i like to fix things and tweak stuff so i guess it wouldnt be a problem for me? Has cf improved alot through the years?
Sorry for going off topic but i see alot of cf users in this thread
Nice to see amd releasing beta's occasionally.
Crossfire is brilliant..
- go for it..!!

Unsure what changed from 13.2b6 aside from Crysis 3 but I install it anyway.
(Tomb Raider already seems to have a profile - http://www.kn00tcn.net/site/ati-catalyst-profiles/ - as does Bioshock Infinite, nothing for Resident Evil 6 though as far as I could tell.)
dont forget to look at the CAP xmls, too (RE6 is not there ya)
rise of the triad CF profile appeared in the CAP, not listed in any release notes or driver files, did that even get a release date announcement?

Thanks for the deep explanation yasamoka. Just what i was looking for! I kinda regret not going for nvidia after reading that but on the other hand i heard 7870 performes better on high resulotion compared to a 660. I think i will go for cf but i hope the 2gb vram on my cards will be enough for newer games. Bf3 mp maxed out on 2560x1440 eats around 1750mb vram on my 7870.

All of these beta drivers cause crysis2 graphics to revert back to all the flickering shadows it got in the early days with xfire
.
I have tried the beta 5, 6 & 7 so far with the same results.

You would think after 16,592 posts you would understand the concept of a driver update. What you described is not a driver update but a driver re-install.
Two completely separate tasks.
With 16,592 posts are you the most muskiest smelling Troll around?
And why am I the only one too notice such non sense?

ok, few things. I was asking because I haven't used AMD in a while. Installers change, look at nvidia adding "clean install" option to their driver installer. Also, going from beta 6 to beta 7 is a driver update. re-install would be if you're re-installing the same driver. Last thing, reported. No need to call people trolls. BTW, you didn't get my post count right :p

With over 16,000 post I find it hard to warrant an explanation for anything!
You may be unknowingly or knowingly spreading misinformation. This concept you have on "updating drivers" is wrong. To remove a driver from a system to install a fresh one is called a driver re-install regardless the version. Not an update.
****, with over 16,000 post and don't know how to update a driver, shame on you sir!
Also you go out of the way to correct me "BTW, you didn't get my post count right :p"
I can smell the musk through my monitor.

I do the same since it's faster and so far has always worked, every time I check all the files that should be updated are updated and the registry info and profiles I don't really care much about.
There are benefits from doing a clean setup as well I believe (And AMD and Nvidia both seem to recommend it for troubleshooting purposes.) but I usually just install over.
