Download the AMD Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 driver

This AMD Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 driver is compatible with AMD Radeon HD 5000, HD 6000 and HD 7000 Series graphics cards. This display driver supports Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8. There are no full release notes released just yet, but given the timing, this most certainly is an optimized Crysis 3 driver.

With this driver, these products offer support for WDDM 1.2, which is an updated model for graphics drivers that Microsoft has developed to ensure smooth performance and wide compatibility in their new operating system.

I just installed my new Gigabyte 7970 and Crysis 3 and was wondering if it's worth it to switch to these drivers from 13.1 WHQL, or if I should wait for the official 13.2 instead (I guess that should have all these fixes present)

Anyone notice improvements enough to warrant the change? I am running single GPU, no CFX or anything.

/edit - One more thing. Are these the very same that can be downloaded on AMDs driver page. The beta 7, or are these newer? One can never know with all these driver revisions :P

    CRYSIS 3/ 13.2 beta6 vs 13.2 beta7

2048X1152; same settings in CCC/ game; map 'Fields', checkpoint #2 ---

    beta 6 - Frames: 1008 - Time: 19453ms - Avg: 54.817 - Min: 46 - Max: 59
    beta 7 - Frames: 1020 - Time: 20638ms - Avg: 47.423 - Min: 45 - Max: 53

    beta 6/ 47 FPS -

    beta 7/ 39 FPS -

WTF ?! Or improvements in b7 was made only for CFX owners with performance degradation for single GPU's ?!

I believe something like BlueScreen Viewer may be able to get the information, or at least the error code (given that you didn't disable BSoD dump file creation anyway).

Any chance the HDMI sound issue is resolved in Beta 7? I am still stuck on 13.2 Beta4 because i have to have the HDMI sound running to me TV as a second screen?

Please tell me its fixed :)

If not will keep waiting patiently.

    Thanks Guys.

Oh yeah and the drivers are needed for twin 7970s.

Also if 7 does fix the HDMI sound issue what cap do we use? The same one as always 12.2 or whatever it was?

    Again thank you

I can confirm this but for me the fps went down even more, going from 40/50 to in the 30's.

Try turning off any o/c programs, only o/c through the ccc. Disable core parking, make sure your cpu can run prime95 without hanging.

To anyone using crossfire, do you think its worth the investment? I really need some more gpu power but im a bit hesitant to add another card and end up dealing with microstutter ect. On the other hand i like to fix things and tweak stuff so i guess it wouldnt be a problem for me? Has cf improved alot through the years?

Sorry for going off topic but i see alot of cf users in this thread :) Nice to see amd releasing beta's occasionally.

I just go to control panel, and uninstall the drivers through the install manager.
    Reboot.
Use the AMD driver clean up utility (not for use with windows 8)
    Reboot.
    Install new drivers.

These drivers seem to be pointed at Crysis 3 and Crossfire.
So I won't be using these.

I do not even uninstall it, Because it takes everything away.
I simply Run new install manager. It scans installed versions it can find that I have something which is not in new package or is same version and is not needed to update.

With this I had issue only once. When I used custom modified drivers (not beta, but user mod) and thanks to that I had other versions of dlls than reported.
So next install simply could not decide what has to be updated and what not. Ended in installation of bad combination and system restore ;)

Unless you need to downgrade there is no need to clean it.
