hi guys thanks for help
I installed the 13.1 with custom installation: video drivers + ccc
I have not installed AMD HDMI audio driver, and i use a realtek integrated?
should I install or use only realtek audio driver?
thanks
HDMI audio driver have nothing to do with Realtek (or any other sound card), it's used to process sound that is transported over HDMI device on VGA.
If you use HDMI sound, you should install, if don't, it will not hurt anything to install.

Installing this driver would be the best thing you did for that HD 7970. Installing the 13.2 BETA would be the even BETTER thing you ever did for that HD 7970. I've been using the set since it was put up here, and my rig is running like a dream.

Don't be scared :p These are WHQL signed drivers
(which, in most (not all) cases, are generally safest)
Now, if we were talking about those unofficial 13.2 drivers, then you could be scared :p

13.2 actually runs even better for me.

I am getting significant performance boost in quite a few games with this driver compared to 12.8 WHQL. However, my overclock of 1050/1575 is no longer stable. Several games either hang or crash (Dirt Showdown, Far Cry 3, Sleeping Dogs etc). Even 3DMark11 froze once as well. 12.8 was absolutely stable at these clocks. Going to test other games now.

13.1 was definitely smoother but just not stable. I had like Borderlands 2 crash on me 10 times over. Now back on 12.10 and been very stable once again. Gaming feels a little bit jerky at times but my gpus are now being scaled to their fullest in crossfire. Unfortunately both 12.10 and 13.10 flicker like crazy in eyefinity unless vsync is on in BL2. Guess back to the drawing board for AMD but considering their moving to a new driver architecture it will probably be a while until they work out the kinks..

Crashes not but I got flickering now with 13.1 in Borderlands 2. At least WOT doesn't flicker with these drivers.

My cfg: 12.11 driver beta, Notebook HP Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00/2.50GHz, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6740M, TV monitor LG 32", 1920 x 1080 res.
What I notice:
1) doing a clean install, no more ccc (!), and the image stay crisp and blurred
;
2) so, I uninstall, and made another clean install of the previous 12.11 - all ok, ccc on, nice image, performance really improved in Far Cry 3, Dishonored and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Hope someone with a similar cfg could tell the results of installing the 13.1 over the 12.11 - I'm not going into this now, must finish a task first.
Thanks.

HDMI audio drivers are succesfully installed.
Is it normal to see a disabled HD audio Controller in device manager?
If I enable it, I get exclamation mark in orange triangle ...
I have 7950 in CF ...
i have the same problem and i'm using the "fixed" version
Window 7 6970 CF

Same here with 7870 CF Windows 7 x64
Unofficial 13.2 does also the same for me. Cat 12.11b11 or older did not...

Why didn't anyone mention there is a LEGACY version of 13.1 available?
I have some friends just dying to get some support for their HD 4800's on Windows 8.

For me it is mostly Application crash where the game would crash to desktop, or a system hang (needing hard reset). If you are getting consistent TDRs (AMD driver stopped responding) then that could be a different issue. Did you try default clocks? For me default clocks are stable.

Seeing significantly smoother gameplay on DIRT Showdown and even L.A. Noire on max settings with my 7870. Pleased with these drivers, no crashes yet.
One thing I don't understand:
I thought that updated drivers included all CAP released up till that date?

I did but i get back to 12.11 enduro. I had a few problems with these new drivers, like CCC does not start automaticaly, I mean when I rightclick on ccc system tray icon, there is no menu poping up ( graphics options, configure switchable graphics, etc..) but there is only catalyst control center shown..when i click on that it will start. It is not such an issue
I dont think there are any improvements in 13.1 for a 6700m series, so no need for update
