Afterburner 4.3.0 Download

After a long time of of Beta development MSI and Guru3D happily announce Afterburner 4.3.0 for you to download
Download AfterBurner - MSI announced today that its Afterburner overclocking utility and its Kombustor testing utility is now available for all gamers to download worldwide. MSI Afterburner is ultimate graphics card utility, co-developed by MSI and Guru3D RivaTuner teams. This utility enables all MSI graphics card users to boost performance and to monitor all kinds of critical information on the fly. This application is a complete software solution which supports almost all graphics cards.
We recommend the latest RC or Beta over a final release. You can always download the latest revision right here.
Here are some key features of MSI Afterburner
Based on RivaTuner core - Afterburner contains the mix of the most popular and frequently used RivaTuner's technologies exposed in new simple and effective user interface Unified features for both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. You no longer need to change your favorite graphics card utility software when migrating from NVIDIA graphics card to AMD and vice versa. Afterburner provides you almost the same functionality for hardware manufactured by both leading GPU vendors and makes migration process really easy. Just keep overclocking and monitoring your GPU like you are used to do, no need to change your preferences and search for other utility after graphics card upgrade
User extendable architecture:
You may express your creativity and design your own skins for MSI Afterburner, develop additional applications (e.g. sidebar gadgets for Windows Vista / Windows 7) interacting with MSI Afterburner or create language packs for your native language. Show the community what can you do and share results of your work with thousands of other users
Basic overclocking and fan control features:
Include full multi-GPU support, independent shader clock adjustment (NVIDIA GeForce 8 or newer series cards), overclocking and fan control profiles with hotkey based activation abilities
Basic screen capture features support:
BMP, PNG and JPG formats supported
Advanced fan control:
Most of fan control tools allow you to use either fixed manual fan speed mode or default automatic fan speed mode, where the fan speed automation is performed either by dedicated hardware chip or by display driver depending on graphics card model. In addition to these traditional fan control modes Afterburner also provides user defined software automatic fan speed mode allowing you to define your own fan speed curve. New mode combines flexibility of RivaTuner's fan speed scheduling technology with new and really easy to use graphical interface for visual fan speed curve editing
Hardware health monitoring:
Includes popular tray icon, Logitech LCD and On-Screen Display monitoring modes and history logging in native RivaTuner hardware monitoring log file format
Automatic profiles management system:
Allows experienced users to define their own dynamic ownclocking rules on the systems with no hardware downclocking support or program different fan control modes for 2D and 3D applications
Core, auxiliary VDDCI/PEXVDD and memory voltage adjustment support:
Gives more freedom to hardcore overclockers.
Some recommendations on using external VFW codecs for video capture
Our personal recommendation is nice free x264vfw codec, which can be downloaded here:
http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/..._download.html
There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the codec available. You need 32-bit one only to capture video via MSI Afterburner, but you may additionally install 64-bit version of codec, if you need to edit videos compressed with it in 64-bit applications.
Is is recommended to use the following codec configuration:
- Select "Ultrafast" preset
- Set log level to "None"
- Enable "Zero latency" option, otherwise audio and video str3ams may run out of sync.

pretty damn cool yo thanks unwinder
got rid of most my beta screen shots but this is pretty cool with -0 monitoring

I totally and whole heartedly recommend testing the sub zero monitoring

Yup, Unwinder never ceases to amase me with the effort he puts in, truely remarkable and why it is the best
I know its from older versions, but I love the updates to the G19 display and was pleasently surprised recently (when reinstalling everything after an SSD Death) to find frametime ms added too. A nice touch so I can see how things are going in that extra bit of detail to confirm what my eyes are telling me ^^
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing.Long time before they come with this:
"Fixed extended CPU family and model detection to address issue with incorrect maximum junction temperature (Tjmax) detection on some Intel CPUs" for some old cpus.
Interesting thing: Old Afterburner v4.0 ocuppy 3x less memory than this new one: ~4mb vs ~12.3mb,before lauch a game.
And if you put on this new version say old default v3 skin you can have in exchange 1mb free memory.

I'll repeat one more time: CPU monitoring is not a part of commercial functionality. MSI don't invest anything it in, it is not being tested and supported by the company in any form. It is inside just because I needed it for testing my system in the past, it is provided as a bonus so no need to post anything like "why it takes so long to support my CPU". Some CPUs may have no support ever.

That's not true. Equally configured v4.0 and v4.1 have similar memory footprint. v3.x have lower memory consumption due limited monitoring history buffer size (clearly reflected in release notes) and lack of advanced skin composition modes.

RTSS have low memory as old version.Only MSI Afterburn(without RTSS) have 3x time high memory.

That means you have added the code to this new version.Indeed the old cpus dont have support, especially old ones with C2 state disabled.
Congrats.

Hilbert, I think this needs a bit of a fix on the MSI AfterBurner 4.1.1 Download page:
Prior to installation please be sure to uninstall your old version of AfterBurner. For Version 4.1.0 AfterBurner received a complete overhaul. That way you can select new skins.

When I click on extended MSI it now switches to normal voltage and maxes @ 1.30v, is this it?
Standard MSI is still normal offset & limited to 1.187v or ~26mv (max 62mv available)
EDIT: but it appears to be some voltage drop? When I input 1.20v it reads between 1.175-1.189v ingame OSD, msi ab graph shows as 1.20v or even 1.219v though.. Also gpu boost acts a bit different, 60mhz offset usually made 1228mhz now its 1200mhz.
