Amazing, this driver supports my laptop fully! I can download it directly from AMD's site.

Urgh, the driver only installs on the GCN card, so it really DOES only support GCN cards! Which means every non-GCN GPU compatiblity listed on the AMD site is a lie. I guess I have to install Asder's version.
On the AMD site it says the 8550G (non GCN) is supported, but it's actually not. What a shame. Just install the driver on the 8550G without OpenCL 2.0 and on the 8750M with!

Thanks asder00 for the work!
Installation is fine on R9 270 and Win7 x64, but
my idle temps raised 5 C degrees (from 35 to 40) and I lost frames in almost every benchmark (Valley -100, Kombustor -30, etc.)
Back to 14.7

I originally installed this driver over 14.8 and noticed that CCC was showing 14.8 as the package but everything else was updated. I went ahead and removed the drivers and cleaned it all up with DDU before installing them again. So far I have only run a couple of benches and will see how games perform later, but so far everything seems ok. The results below are compared to 14.8 and the tests were run before and after the update.
Heaven - D3D11, 2560x1440, 8xAA, Ultra, Extreme

Thanks for the informative benchmarks. Just one question - does the new driver still have DX9 corruption issues?

I honestly can't say if I have ever experienced that issue before. Does it effect the 290x also? Just to see, I installed and loaded up State of Decay and it plays fine for me.

The newly modifed driver by asder00 runs like a charm on Windows 8.1 with my HD6970 while playing Team Fortress 2 (DX9), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (DX9) and DOTA 2 (DX9).

I'd test with Bioshock Infinite (DX10), Dark Souls 2 (DX9) {and my wife: The Sims 4 (DX9)} and runs very well.

Installed fine,
However, I can confirm these STILL have the shadow corruption bug in Warframe where there is a square shadow under your character on the floor that follows you around.
Here is a screenshot of it, you can see part of this shadow behind my warframe on the floor. The shadow is partly under the ground and partly showing, most the time its under the ground as you walk or run but moving the mouse around will show the shadow even more. If you jump the shadow will follow your character up in the air and it will then completely show the whole square shadow.

Yep wrote to both the devs and AMD about this issue.
Game also likes to randomly crash sometimes, but when it does it crashes to desktop and then my browser loads up and goes to the warframe website where it says "HARDWARE FAILURE DETECTED" and says to resolve the issue, dont overclock anything, and not to use beta drivers.
I have tested with ALL 14.x leaked drivers, and 14.7 RC drivers and ALL have this issue. The only driver where the game does not crash or have this issue is official 14.4 and 14.8 WHQL drivers.
It seems the developers of the game don't like the support or update their game to accommodate for newer driver versions.

Downloading now... Let's see if it works...
I'm still afraid of moving away from the WHQL's...

I'm just going to wait until the full driver\catalyst rework. 14.8 WHQL is great driver anyway.

Thank you very much. Testing it with an R9 280x right now.
