Enermax Revolution 85+ 850W review by Hilbert Hagedoorn 11/2/2009

It certainly has been a while since we reviewed Enermax products, if memory serves me right the last Enermax PSU that we had in queue was the Galaxy Kilowatt DXX power supply. At the time (and still) considered a top notch product. We where exhilarated by it and I know for sure that our review cascaded an effect -- as a lot of our forum visitors actually purchased that Galaxy series of power supplies, which they still use and are happy with. Times change and there is always room for improvement, Enermax started rolling our the Revolution series of power supplies. A highly stylish, highly efficient and modular power supply that is quiet as well.

Gigabyte Odin PLUS 700W PSU review by Hilbert Hagedoorn 10/7/2009

We'll have a look at Gigabyte's Odin series of power supplies. An updated version, the new PLUS model. Being Guru3D we did opt the higher wattage model. It's called the Odin Plus 700 Watt power supply. A fairly standard power supply, yet with some extra horsepower, should you need it. Advertised as a SLI ready and certified product that comes with a 80+ Bronze certification for it's efficiency. What's special is that Gigabyte designed their own board layout, four 12 volts rails, uses solid capacitors to market it in their ultra durable product segment and as such hope to bring you a nice and long lasting product.

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 910 PSU review by Hilbert Hagedoorn 5/20/2009

Here we test the Silencer 910. PC Power and cooling creates the best of the best among power supplies, they however keep their design simple. No multiple 12 Volts rails, no Sir, it all comes from one single rail, apparently more robust and efficient. Cable management ? Ehm, no Sir, all cables are connected as modability would have an effect on overall efficiency here as well. A near kilowatt power supply with an efficiency that is bloody fantastic at roughly 88%

In Win Commander 750W PSU review | test by Hilbert Hagedoorn 5/11/2009

We will be reviewing the In Win Commander series power supply. Commander, as in military. And that shows, army camouflage packaging, and an army green PSU. Quite funny to observe really. Marketing sure, but somehow .. this concept works out really well. A fairly high-end power supply. But is it any good ? Let's fire off some rounds and ground the PSU with some serious ammo.

BFG EX 1200 Power Supply review | test by Hilbert Hagedoorn 3/23/2009

A test on the BFG EX-1200. Last week BFG dropped a mail if we wanted to test their all new BFG 1200 Watt EX power supply. A power supply that is silent, efficient, has long cabling, is pure quality, has an ATX size chassis, is completely themed dark and perhaps after all these years might be able to replace my kilowatt PSUs. As what BFG is bringing to the table is comforting. This 1200 Watt piece of machinery is fairly close to what I consider perfection in terms of design and requirements .. and with a price just under 250 USD BFG might have something really special on their hands. And that my friends makes it very interesting.

OCZ ModXtream PRO 600 Watt power supply review by Hilbert Hagedoorn 12/5/2008

A test on the OCZ ModXtream PRO 600 Watt power supply. A very energy efficient power supply that not only looks good, is modular .. and pretty much inaudible to the ears. It's called the ModXtream Pro, is SLI certified, comes in a nice black modular design and we'll take a look at the 600 Watt version of it.

BFG ES 800 Watt PSU review by Hilbert Hagedoorn 5/27/2008

The all new BFG ES series of power supplies. Probably this is one of the best power supplies we ever tested here at Guru3D.com, be sure to check out the review.

Hiper Type R Mk-II 680W power supply by Hilbert Hagedoorn 5/2/2008

A new review at Guru3D. One PSU that certainly will catch your attention is the one we'll be testing for Hiper (High Performance group) today. it's their 680Watt Type RII 680 Watt PSU. A product that costs roughly 120-130 bucks. This PSU immediately will catch your attention die to it's original packaging, the extremely 'out there' paint job and then .. when you look at the front side of the PSU, you'll spot 8 USB connectors. And all that is it next to being an actual PSU.

Tuniq Miniplant 950 Watt Power Supply review by Hilbert Hagedoorn 3/20/2008

Recently Tuniq (part of Sunbeamtech) released a trio of power supplies. The Ensemble comes in 1200 and 1000 Watt versions, and their lower specced Miniplant is only a 950 Watt animal. Despite the fact that the PSU can suck up 950 Watts, this actually is an energy friendly product .. it has everything to do with it's high efficiency topping out at 80%+, no worries though, we'll explain and demonstrate that over the next view pages.

BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 650W First Class review by Hilbert Hagedoorn 2/6/2008

So a couple of weeks ago I had a call from Miss D. at Listan, their rock solid BeQuiet series is to be updated to a new revision. And at that very moment I was like ..hmm what on earth could they improve ? Well, before we get into that .. let me just say .. they did. On the next pages we'll show you a full-fetched review on their all new BeQuiet Dark Power Pro "First Class" edition of power supplies. A PSU series that is quite efficient, stable and so darn quiet .. that I measured over and over again.
