The all new BFG ES series of power supplies. Probably this is one of the best power supplies we ever tested here at Guru3D.com, be sure to check out the review.
Hiper Type R Mk-II 680W power supply
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
5/2/2008
A new review at Guru3D. One PSU that certainly will catch your attention is the one we'll be testing for Hiper (High Performance group) today. it's their 680Watt Type RII 680 Watt PSU. A product that costs roughly 120-130 bucks. This PSU immediately will catch your attention die to it's original packaging, the extremely 'out there' paint job and then .. when you look at the front side of the PSU, you'll spot 8 USB connectors. And all that is it next to being an actual PSU.
Tuniq Miniplant 950 Watt Power Supply review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
3/20/2008
Recently Tuniq (part of Sunbeamtech) released a trio of power supplies. The Ensemble comes in 1200 and 1000 Watt versions, and their lower specced Miniplant is only a 950 Watt animal. Despite the fact that the PSU can suck up 950 Watts, this actually is an energy friendly product .. it has everything to do with it's high efficiency topping out at 80%+, no worries though, we'll explain and demonstrate that over the next view pages.
BeQuiet Dark Power Pro 650W First Class review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
2/6/2008
So a couple of weeks ago I had a call from Miss D. at Listan, their rock solid BeQuiet series is to be updated to a new revision. And at that very moment I was like ..hmm what on earth could they improve ? Well, before we get into that .. let me just say .. they did. On the next pages we'll show you a full-fetched review on their all new BeQuiet Dark Power Pro "First Class" edition of power supplies. A PSU series that is quite efficient, stable and so darn quiet .. that I measured over and over again.
Tuniq Ensemble 1200 Watt Power Supply review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
1/11/2008
In their power supply line Tuniq recently released their Ensemble power supply in 1000 and 1200 watt offerings, we'll review the latter one. That's right .. a 1200 Watt PSU for gamers. Now believe it or not, but this 1200 Watt PSU is actually an energy friendly product .. it has everything to do with it's high efficiency topping out at 87%, no worries though, we'll explain and demonstrate that over the next view pages.
Sirtec High Power 1200W PSU review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
11/20/2007
We'll have a peek at a 1.2 Kilowatt PSU, this time from the folks at Sirtec. Oh did I already mention that the unit is only 245 EUR ? That flips things around doesn't it ?
Everest 1010 Power Supply unit review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
11/3/2007
FSP recently released a 800 and 1010 Watt high-end power supply in e(re)tial. The PSU's have a good feature set with active PFC, short-protection (OCP/SCP) and enough connectivity for the latest high-end components in your system, including PCI-Express 2.0 8 pin 12 volt rails (4 of them with 20 AMPs each meaning that this PSU is SLI, three-way SLI or CrossFireX ready.
OCZ Silencer 750 Quad Crossfire edition review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
10/10/2007
OCZ bought PC Power & Cooling, for the time being OCZ will sell the PC Power & Cooling as is. It's now their high-end segment of power supplies which is interesting as I always figured their now mid-range line to be pretty snazzy as well.
With this small introduction on OCZ's, PC Power & Cooling product line we land at the Silencer PSU rated 750 Watts. The product as shown today is available in two SKU versions, one SLI and one Crossfire. The SLI version is colored dark black, the Crossfire version in demonic red. The difference between the two ? .. none except the color.
SolyTech SL-8600EPS 600 Watt PSU review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
10/4/2007
We land at the premises of SolyTech, a relative unknown manufacturer. They recently launched a SLI compatible 600 Watt PSU. It does not have quadzilla distribution rails, it doesn't even have four PCI-Express connectors. Yet I figured can this 70 EUR / 80 USD PSU deal with our new quad-core CPU overclocked, 680i SLI, 2x 8800 GTS overclocked, 2 GB Vista bitching system ? Would it be possible for a much cheaper PSU to keep if with that Q6600 2.4 GHz quad-core processor ran at 3 GHz ?
Gigabyte Odin GT 800 Watt PSU review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
9/18/2007
Meet the Gigabyte Odin GT, a 800 Watt power supply with advanced cable management, nice (efficient) design, LEDs, temperature sensors, fan control and the best thing since melted cheese .. advanced software that will allow you to monitor internal behavior of the PSU related to heat, Fan RPM and get this .. it monitors internal power consumption.
