Freezer Xtreme Arctic Cooler CPU cooler review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
11/21/2008
The unit submitted is the Artic Cooling Freezer Xtreme, which can cool the latest AMD and Intel processors. Something changed on the design though, as they did something pretty radical. They shaped this four heatpipe based product in an "U" form and then placed the ventilator right smack down in the middle. It's but interesting none-the-less. The new Freezer Xtreme will feature an unique twin tower design and it will be able to achieve a stunning 160W of cooling capacity.
Gelid Silent Spirit review CPU cooler
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
11/12/2008
Recently Gelid silently introduced their thermal paste and silent design fan, a couple of weeks ago they however launched their Gelid Silent Spirit, as you can guess a heatpipe based cooling solution which we'll put to the test.
Heatpipe CPU cooler roundup review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
6/12/2008
Today we review five heatpipe based coolers from Noctua, CoolerMaster Z600, Tuniq, OCZ Vendetta 2, Coolink. Over the past month or six several new heatpipe based coolers where introduced onto the market. And I already can disclose this .. not one single cooler was doing a below average result. So for this test I decided to go a little more extreme. We'll crank up the usual system requirements a notch by using a fairly high-end PC as we take a Core 2 Duo Q6600 Quad Core processor and then overclock it to 3600 MHz to see how well these coolers still do.
Arctic Accelero Xtreme 2900 VGA cooler review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
1/10/2008
The Accelero Xtreme features with 5 heatpipes, 107 fins and 3 power managed fans. The design has been improved for optimized air flow design obviously to cool effectively, which according to Arctic is up to 240 Watt heat dissipation; that's quite a lot. They claim to can dramatically bring down the heat from GPU at least 20ºC lower than the stock cooler. Well .. let's slap a Radeon 2900 XT on it and see how well it does the job then.
OCZ Vendetta CPU cooler review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
12/22/2007
Now this review was delayed a little, yet a couple of weeks ago OCZ launched a heatpipe based cooler called the Vendetta. We have done a lot of heatpipe CPU cooling reviews already and quite frankly the market is a little saturated .. yet in this price-range, OCZ might have a little success in their hands ...
Zalman Reserator XT Liquid Cooling review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
10/23/2007
In the past we have tested a good number of items from them already. Among them the really awesone Reserator water-cooling products. Recently they released a new model of that Reserator cooler namely the Reserator XT. he trick about this incredibly sexy product is that thanks to a low-noise fan we can now push more performance out of their water-cooling product. So here at Guru3D we figured .. hmm, why not test the Reserator XT with a high-end system.
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
9/26/2007
Coolmaster released an all new heatpipe based cooler. Now when you look at it, you'll say seen that, been there and done that. See, the difference here is this actually is a high performing cooler that will make your (for example) AMD or Core 2 Duo E6600 processor go bonkers.
Gigabyte Mercury Pro review (water-cooled )
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
7/15/2007
When a team is creative and the will is there to actually produce something which meets the variables for the mainstream market then you can have a small success on your hands, for today's product I believe that's the case. We'll be reviewing their pre-installed PC Chassis with built in water-cooling. With a design that is esthetically pleasing, innovative functions and some really great ideas over the next pages you'll be strolling through the product that is called the 3D Mercury.
CoolIT FreeZone CPU cooler review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
6/18/2007
So the CoolIT FreeZone is not a 100% water-cooling system as you and I know. Unlike most similar products, the Freezone doesn't use a radiator. Instead, it uses its proprietary Chiller module which simply are the TECs or peltiers elements to chill the liquid coolant. By doing so it provides far greater thermal efficiency.
NoiseBlocker Cool Scraper 120 review
by Hilbert Hagedoorn
5/20/2007
Today we'll chat about an all German product, yet available everywhere. The company is BlackNoise; the product the Cool Scraper (rev 2.0) which we'll test with a variety of fans to see how silent and how performance effective this product is. With exceptional looks let's have a look at the Cool Scraper 120 revision 2.0
