Today in the Guru3D Audio Lab we have a new set of AXIOM M2 v3 bookshelf speakers to run through our lab. With the new flagship cards such as the Essence series, CL Titanium HD and the Auzentech offerings, putting out great sound, you also need great playback equipment for excellent sound. Your speakers are just as important as your sound source and as the saying goes; your chain is only as strong as your weakest link.

Many PC audio lovers have their system connected to high quality home theater systems or high grade Bookshelf speakers for stereo audition. It would seem that more and more PC users are moving up the audio ladder to these high end systems. AV123 sent us a complete stereo monitoring system comprised of their ELT 525 Mini-Monitors in a Cherry Finish, a Class-D speaker amplifier from Tweak City Audio and last but not least some Matrix-2 speaker cables from Ultra Link to tie the system together.

Creative Labs Gigaworks S750 7.1 Speakers

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 03/28/2005 07:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]

So 7.1 surround sound, do we really need to invest in it ? Ehm, no ... But I can tell you it does make a very nice difference over the traditional 5.1 setup for sure. I'll explain all that on this multi purpose speaker set later on when I will talk a little about my game/movie/music experiences in combination with the GigaWorks S750's.

I-Trigue L3450 2.1 Speakers review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 04/28/2004 06:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]

The glossy white and tasty style of I-Trigue L3450 satellite speaker incorporates a Lateral Firing Transducer (LFT), and 2 premium Titanium micro drivers, adding acoustic fidelity beyond ordinary desktop speakers. Combine that with the 30 Watt RMS subwoofer and you're in for some really nice desktop music, this dear Guru's is the I-Trigue L3450, we are reviewing the white version, of course there's a black version available also.

So you crave the need for Dolby Digital in it's widest form, your problem .. money. DTS, DTS ES, 7.1 Channels game and movie playback it's all so teasing isn't it ? More importantly, it's all so expensive ! Creative Labs however is clever, a speaker for every price range. And for about 120 EUR you can pick up their Creative Inspire t7700 speakers set. Not just 2.1, 4.1 or 5.1 no, we are talking about 7 speakers and a subwoofer .. yes if you look around a bit you'll spot them for 120 EUR.

Creative Labs I-Trigue 3300 Speakers

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/21/2003 08:00 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]

It's not our habit to review speaker set's too often. But Creative Labs recently released the I-Trigue 3300 and well .. I was at the least intrigued by this speaker-set. It's not a mumbo jumbo 5.1, or 6.1 channel speaker set or extremely powerful loudspeaker set. No it's a small, high-end yet very stylish looking 2.1 speaker set which consists out of a nice sub-woofer and two very cute looking satellite speakers that our made out of stylish titanium. Each satellite is finished in a decent, die-cast alloy body that houses three high-precision titanium drivers, which should deliver you clarity and more accurate audio delivery than aluminum drivers.
