Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 WindForce 3x OC review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 05/23/2013 02:13 PM [ 20 comment(s) ]

We test and review the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 WindForce 3x OC edition. The graphics card comes witha  factory overclock and the new WindForce 3X 2 Slot 450W fan sink with Triangle Cool fans, as they like to cool it. That would be three silent 80mm fans. Overall the card is almost as fast as a GeForce GTX Titan, 100% cool and 100% silent. We test the product with the hottest games like Metro: Last light, Battlefield 3, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Hitman Absolution and many more.

In this article we review the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost OC WindForce 2X with that OC for a factory tweak and the Windforce indicating a silent yet powerful two fan cooling solution. The product is customized with a new PCB, cooling and a few tweaks, it has 2GB of memory with both that memory and the core base-clock slightly overclocked. An tasty product at an interesting price in the lower segment of the mainstream market.

HIS Radeon HD 7950 HIS IceQ X2 review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 03/04/2013 09:22 AM [ 0 comment(s) ]

We test and review the a HIS Radeon HD 7950 IceQ X² Boost Clock 3GB, this 3CM sized beast is one heck of a graphics card. Custom PCB, custom cooling, it's low noise and being a Boost edition card series, it clocks in at 950 MHz. Oh and in terms of tweakability, it didn't suck either, 1150 MHz is a target you can easily achieve, bringing this card closer to Radeon HD 7970 GHz performance. We test the product with the hottest games like Battlefield 3, Sleeping Dogs, Far Cry 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Hitman Absolution and many more.

PC Power & Cooling Mk III Silencer 750 review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/28/2013 09:03 AM [ 4 comment(s) ]

We review the PC Power and Cooling MK III Silencer 750 Watt review from OCZ technology. The Silencer Mk III series are all about being quiet, being awesome and very efficient and again, the PSU as tested today carries a Gold certification. The PSU also improved on the audibility front as it comes with a switch, enabled it and up-to 350 Watt the fan will remain disabled and at that load your PSU merely lukewarm. The 750 PSU is lovely in performance, the one massive 62A 12-volts rails says it all really. Excellent for multi-GPU solutions and hardcore overclockers. The PSU is engineered with merely premium components, including Japanese 105°C capacitors and heavy-duty protection circuitry's.

AMD A10 5700 review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/10/2013 09:50 AM [ 14 comment(s) ]

We review the 115 EUR AMD A10 5700 APU processor. Based on Trinity APU architecture this processor slash graphics hybrid symbiosis called APU remains hard to beat in terms of features performance and well all the goodness you can expect from a great APU. Value and fun is what the platform offers. Our conclusion stands, a A10 5700 with an A75 or A85X based motherboard for normal daily usage is just fine, it's great  for HTPCs and even a game or two, albeit in lower resolutions and quality levels.

Arctic Accelero Hybrid 7970 Liquid Cooling System review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/26/2012 10:29 AM [ 17 comment(s) ]

We review the Accelero Hybrid 7970 Liquid Cooling System from Arctic. This cooling solution for the Radeon HD 7970 offers both liquid-cooling for the GPU as well as silent active cooling for the VRM zone of the graphics card. If we can believe the numbers then the solution should offer great cooling performance versus excellent noise levels. That's right up our alley alright.

We review the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified PSU. The monster of a 1500 Watt PSU is massive in performance and features. GeForce 9800 GT vs GeForce 660 GTX review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/19/2012 06:58 AM [ 46 comment(s) ]

We place the GeForce 9800 GT vs GeForce 660 GTX in a quick four page article slash review. Demographics show that a lot of end-users who purchased their PC a couple of years ago very likely still have that GeForce 9800 GT. NVIDIA's demographics show that the people that are still using that card (and apparently it is a lot of them) are bound to upgrade, and the most logical step is the GeForce TX 660. So why not have a quick peek at how these two cards performs -- the old versus the new.
