Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Windforce OC review

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 09/21/2012 05:38 AM [ 3 comment(s) ]

In this review we'll look at the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC edition graphics card. The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Windforce OC  comes with a dual-slot Windforce cooler that is incredibly silent yet manages to keep the card at very cool temps, and it's even factory overclocked for you. Have a peek as this card should be somewhere at the top of you list.

Nice, maybe it's time to sell the ol' 580 for a dapper gen3 PhysX card?

It looks exactly like the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 560 with the same cooler, and the 560 is about $50-$75 cheaper (before or after rebates etc.,), so is the 660 version worth 50 or 75 more than the gigabyte 560? I assume temps and OC is about the same because they are the same company made coolers and boards...

Why do Gigabyte insist on sticking with that horrible blue pcb, its off putting.
