We review NVIDIA's reference GeForce GTX 650 Ti in this article. This product is launched to fill the gap inbetween the Radeon HD 7770 and Radeon HD 7850. Aimed at a pricetag of roughly 145 EUR (Euro 119.00 excl. VAT).
this product comes with 768 shader processors, and that fact alone should make it a good chunk faster than the regular GTX 650 model. Have a peek and let's head onwards into the review shall we?

This card seems seriously hampered by the 128-bit memory bus. Couldn't Nvidia have opened that up a bit for the Ti model?

I was hoping for better performance.... nVidia makes nice gains with their high-end and upper mid-range cards, but seems as you work your way down, their performance improvement vs previous gen just falls apart... At $155-$180USD....this is still going to be hard to recommend to people...

Its good to see that it is a lot better than the 650 non-Ti and the 7770.
And I also noticed that Don Hilbert added Sleeping Dogs for benchmarking! Way to go!
This might just be my next card if the 7850's price wont go lower.

Most 7850 are sold with a game bundle.. the 7850 is sold at 159$ and the 650TI who is way inferior on performance is sold at 149$ ... without saying, this is if you are dont playing at 1920x1080 ... with the 7850 you can still keep good quality setting, with the 650TI, its even impossible to keep the good quality, or AA . ( thanks to the 128bits bus ) ..
The 7770 is in another category at 109$ ..

Ofc when i say 159$, this is for the 1gb version .. ( who run allready at 169$ anyway today )

It's not an official price cut, but rather AMD's partners lowering their prices. Starting today, AMD Radeon HD 7850 1GB costs $159 (after rebate), whereas the 2GB version carries $189 official price-tag. The AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition graphics board now has manufacturer suggested retail price of $119.
AMD and its partners specifically reduced price of sub-$200 graphics boards to improve positions in the most popular segment of graphics boards.

For the small extra price here in the UK you might as well get a 7850, which is MUCH faster

Big let down is the lack of SLI on the 650 and now also the 650ti.
Would've been excellent had these had that option...
