Ozone SMOG gaming mouse review

Smog is one of the most extreme mouse's I have tested personally in a while and we've seen a good number of them. Smog is as versatile as can be and not only that it's a very ergonomic mouse with a great feel and guess what an affordable sales price as well. The Smog features an ergonomic right handed design it has an embedded Avago 9500 laser sensor 72 programmable buttons and a DPI settings 5040 selectable. The mouse also comes with a rubber left side grip ceramic footpads an adjustable weight. And sure Macro modes for gaming profiles as well and 4-way scrolling.

Radeon HD 5970 Overclocking Guide

When the Radeon HD 5970 launched the product was extremely well received by the hardware enthusiast community. As we stated in our article -- the product is clocked a little conservative though. We boosted the Radeon HD 5970 Core from 725 MHz towards 935 MHz and the 4000 MHz memory is running and purring steady at 5240 MHz --- and that's a baffling result on just the reference air-cooler. Wanna learn how we do it

GeForce GT240 is designed for a the lower segment of the mainstream market and comes with support for DX10.1 GeForce GT240 comes packed with 96 shader cores and features GDDR3 memory however if you throw in an extra tenner -- you can get a 128-bit gDDR5 memory version as well -- giving the card some more breathing space in terms of memory bandwidth and in the end overall performance.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 VGA performance

Last week the long awaited sequel to Call of Duty Modern Warfare was released -- COD Modern Warfare 2 probably has been one of the biggest anticipated PC game titles this year. This is Guru3D.com we have a fetish for graphics cards and games as such we took no less than twenty-three graphics configurations and put performance to the test.
Over the next few pages a word or two about the game some image quality comparisons and obviously a nice lengthy VGA chart ranging from monitor resolution 1280x1024 up-to 2560x1600 measured with and with out AA.

Cooler Master HAF 922 review

The HAF 922 with it's near identical name and setup resembles a lot to it's bigger brother the HAF 932. The 922 however is a mid-tower while the 932 is a full tower. Don't expect the 922 to be a dried up version of the 932 though it actually offers some improvements especially when it comes to cable management. The HAF 922 is a good blend of a nice design yet comes with pretty wicked yet silent cooling and then all the little extra's like decent cable management removable drive trays for your HDDs tool less insertion of say a DVD-RW drive and what we like to see very much something as simple as an opening in the motherboard back tray so you can swap out a CPU cooer backplate without the need of an invasive procedure to remove the entire motherboard. It's what Cooler Master does well the HAF meets the requirements in ease of use and design at an affordable price.

ASUS Radeon HD 5770 Voltage Tweak review

More and more vendors these days allow the end user to play around with GPU voltages in order to achieve higher stable overclocks. Our sample for example ships at reference standard 850MHz core clock frequency and 4800MHz on the memory much like as any other Radeon HD 5770 1024MB but with the help of Voltage Tweaking we achieved 1000MHz on the core clock and 5620MHz on the memory fairly quickly.

Promise SmartStor DS4600 DAS review

There is something in-between the NAS and standalone HDD enclosures and we call that technology DAS -- Device Attached Storage for the consumer market quite a new phrase to learn and understand. Today we test one yes it will be more expensive as a normal HDD enclosure yet much cheaper than a NAS device the unit we look at today for example is aesthetically very pleasing can hold four high performance drives in hot-swappable drive bays it is really fast energy efficient silent and comes with a plethora of connectivity towards your PC like eSATA USB FireWire 400/800 of and I'd almost forget it .. is RAID 015 compatible.

Corsair Obsidian 800D review

Corsair has a reputation to deliver products in the somewhat more high-end region they set the bar really high when it comes to enthusiast hardware and tend to really think things through. As such when the first ideas started to float in the coffee room in a building about a Corsair Chassis the R&D team put together some great minds and did not at all look at building a chassis no they very likely reversed roles what would you guys like to see or need when building your dream chassis Their first ever PC chassis is called the Obsidian 800D and it is without any shame I dare to state that this is among the best ever PC cases I personally have ever tested. Yes this chassis is marvelous.

Phenom II X4 965 BE revision C3 review

AMD today updates their most high-end processor to a new revision the Phenom II X4 965 BE processor with stepping C3 -- and this new model is all about energy efficiency. The revised Phenom II X4 965 BE processor has not only a much better TDP peak Wattage at 125W coming down from 140W but overall much better power management thanks to the fact that hardware C1E is now implemented in the CPU allowing the processor to for faster switching of power states and makes it more efficient. Typically with such a feature enforced it lower performance a little but... with a proper BIOS AMD claims there's no real impact on performance.
