OCZ Technology Trifecta mini SD memory review

OCZ Trifecta Secure Digital Memory 1GB
Info: OCZ Technology
Price: 24 USD (1GB) 40 USD (2GB)

OCZ Technology Trifecta mini SD memory reviewNow I'm not the kind of guy who likes to write reviews on flash-memory. I however am a sucker for innovation and can't deny that small flash memory formats have teased my mind in a positive way. It pops up everywhere. MP3 players, PDA's, camera's, but also it's an excellent platform for quick and easy data transport. Now combine that in an easy to carry and use format and arm it with some really fast flash memory. The result is OCZ's Digital Trifecta memory. The smallest and fastest Micro SD (Secure Digital) memory available to date, and it even comes with a converter so you can use it as regular SD memory. You can even connect it to a USB port.

The product is fully compliant with both the SD and microSD standard. In addition to that, as stated, it also has a USB-connector which means that you don't need any card reader in order to get data on or off the card. Quite handy if you are on the go and don't have time to mess around with a card reader.

Hey welcome to a mini-review on this 66x speed Micro-SD memory.

Specifications from OCZ Technology:

  • Available in 66X Speeds
  • Dimensions: 32 x 24 x 2.1 mm (L x W x H)
  • Official Secure Digital™ (SD) Compliant
  • microSD™ Compliant
  • High-Speed USB 2.0
  • 5 Year Warranty

The x-factor: alright as stated this memory is 66x speed. 1x means that the memory card is capable of producing a read bandwidth of 150KB/s. In other words the theoretical maximum read speed of this microSD card is 150KB/s x 66 /1000 KB/MB= 9.9 MB/s. We'll sift through a photo-shoot right now and have a closer look at this OCZ SD-Card.
